Today, I tackled the bathroom, starting with the cabinet under the bathroom sink.
1 Clay Mask - completely dried up
6 boxes of tampons
3 boxes of pantyliners
1 box of thong pantyliners (I can't remember the last time I wore a thong!)
2 bars of soap (1 is at least 4 years old)
2 partially used hand soap refill bottles
1 unused air freshener - 2 years old
3 bags of cotton balls (I don't even use cotton balls!)
2 facial regime sets, unopened and untouched!
2 bags of beauty samples, barely touched or completely untouched
3 bottles of sunscreen
3 bottles of shampoo, either partially used or unused - 4 years old!
5 bottles of conditioner, partially used or unused, some are about 3 years old
3 bottles of body wash
1 forgotten firming lotion
1 bottle of foot peel from 5 years ago
1 manicure set, 5 years old
Yikes!
How did this happen?
1. I love beauty products, or rather, I love buying beauty products with the intention of using them faithfully, using them once or twice and then forgetting about it.
2. I make the mistake of not taking inventory before I go shopping. You saw that I had several boxes of pantyliners in there? Well, I didn't realize that, so I would've put those on my shopping list the next time I hit the grocery store.
3. I receive some of these things as gifts, put them under the sink and completely forget about them.
So now I've kept these items on the counter next to the bathroom sink so that we can use them up before we move, and so I don't forget about these items and go out, buying more of what we don't need.
So you see, even the most frugal among us have our spending problems.

I do the same thing. I go out and buy new not realizing that I have 4 bottles under the cabinet already.
Oh that sounds soooo familiar... We recently moved, and I bet I had a stockpile to rival yours! LOL!
That was so me a year ago until I started using up all the products I bought and/or got as a review sample...
Or I just give them away to friends.
That is totally me!! Now I just give the samples or items away.
What I do with things in the bathroom is know exactly what I need. Then I keep just one spare of everything so I don't run out.
The advantage of this is, when I start using my spare I just walk down that aisle in the supermarket and just buy a replacement when it is on sale. So if it takes me 2 months to use my toothpaste, it's going to be on sale at least once during that time :)
